Public Engagement Summary
One of the goals of the Safe Streets project is to conduct a robust public engagement process to ensure the community has ownership in the solutions identified. To this end, the City asked for community feedback on the project in a variety of ways including stakeholder interviews, an open house, a Block Watch meeting, an online comment form and communications with City staff. A summary of public engagement efforts and the comments we heard is provided below.
The City hosted an open house on March 21 to hear community members' ideas for how to make our streets safer. Open house materials are posted below.
An online comment form was available on this webpage in February and March and closed on April 1. Over 100 people shared ideas through the form. The project team is currently reviewing this information.
